What do the agile processes at XEMPUS look like?
XEMPUS uses parts of the Scaled Agile Framework (e.g. PI planning and the Release Train Engineer) in combination with standard scrum

How is the team structure organised?
There are seven engineering teams, with every team responsible for one platform domain.
Interdisciplinary topics are dealt with by what are known as chapters. These comprise representatives of the individual disciplines who exchange ideas and create common standards.
What does team autonomy mean at XEMPUS?
Every team and every chapter has the freedom to define internal processes for themselves, e.g. how knowledge transfer processes are handled or when the superior Definition of Done is achieved.
What responsibilities do engineers have at XEMPUS?
All engineers are responsible for the quality of the developed software. The principle of "every detected problem is also your problem" applies here. Our company values such as Entrepreneurial Thinking and Freedom of Design come with a high degree of personal responsibility. Engineers must first think about what ideas are permitted or not. Basically, anything that helps the company to generate improved results is allowed.
What are the development opportunities at XEMPUS?
XEMPUS offers a six-stage development model. The higher the stage, the greater the "company-wide impact" on the part of the employee. The stage is reflected on and adjusted in development meetings organised every six months or so. The principle that personal preferences are where possible brought into line with the possibilities of the role applies here.
How is the engineering team set up?
Overall, the team is very “senior” and has a number of experienced engineers. There is a good opportunity for newcomers to learn a lot quickly while working together. The experienced colleagues are also happy to provide mentoring.
